Finally! Book Two Title!

So obviously I've been keeping the book two title under wraps. (Along with any sort of synopsis, and sadly, I can't share that today.) But no longer! The title was just released to booksellers, so now I can share it with you!

First, I think you should see the list of alternatives. At this juncture, I must throw a shout out to the spectacular CJ Redwine, who literally spent a whole afternoon on Google with me trying to find the perfect title. (And then I just went with the original that I pitched when I sold HOURGLASS. Because that's the kind of friend I am.)

LIST OF ALTERNATIVE TITLES FOR BOOK TWO:

Pendulum

Horus (stop laughing and Google it)

The Book That Almost Killed Me

Stopwatch

Secondhand

Super Hot Kissing Book

Chronological

Sundial

Time Travel Is Hard

Timeline

and probably my personal favorite, because it has absolutely nothing to do with anything:

METRONOME

Alas, none of these were chosen, but I'm happy to announce what was. HOURGLASS book two is titled .........................

                                                        TIMEPIECE

That kind of feels a little anticlimatic to me. But it's all I'm allowed to give away for QUITE A WHILE (other than the fact the title is pertinent to the storyline), so I'm rolling with it. What do you think?

In celebration of the title release, I'm giving away a signed copy of HOURGLASS! Fill out the form below to enter to win! (US/Canada receives signed copy from me, International receives book from Book Depository, and signed bookplate from me.)

CONGRATS TO THE WINNER, BETHANY LARSON!

  12. Well after the long list it did feel sort of anti-climatic as you say xD.I actually loved Metronome as well and wonder why it didn't work because it comes back as a synonym for timepiece. Ah well with all names the more we know about the subject the more it will fit :)

Thank-you for sharing and thank-you for the giveaway!

  13. Sadly, there isn't a metronome in book two. Maybe I'll put one in the acknowledgements? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metronome

  15. If there are any more books in the Hourglass world, I will put in a metronome. *frantically thinks of plot line involving metronome*

  37. Great title!! So vintage-y cool. You don't pull a timepiece out of a hollister hoodie pocket, you pull it out of your corset, or your indiana jones bag. Love it!

  38. Yay!!! Finally! A title! I can't wait for your next book!
